What is Open Enrollment and when does it start?
Open Enrollment is the time period when you can renew or make changes to your Ambetter from Magnolia Health plan. It starts on November 1, 2016 and ends on January 31, 2017.
How do I renew my Ambetter plan?
Your Ambetter renewal letter will provide the details for your 2017 Ambetter coverage. You’ll want to review your plan details closely. If you don’t need to make any changes, we will automatically renew your coverage.
If you want to make changes, such as adding adult Vision or adult Dental, you can call us and we’ll help you explore these options.
How do I keep my tax credits so I have a lower monthly premium amount?
When Open Enrollment starts on November 1, you can call us at 1-877-687-1187 (TTY/TDD 1-877-941-9235) and we can help you re-confirm your tax credit information. You’ll want to do this whether or not you received a tax credit last year. This will ensure you save as much as possible on your 2017 coverage. You can also go to healthcare.gov.
Will my tax credit be the same this year?
It depends on your 2016 tax information. Whether you received a tax credit last year or not, call us and we can help you update your information. You can also visit healthcare.gov. Be sure to do this by December 15, 2016 to ensure your tax credit amount is up-to-date for your 2017 coverage.
Will I be automatically re-enrolled in my Ambetter plan?
Yes. If you’re pleased with the details on your renewal letter and don’t want or need to make any changes, your Ambetter plan will automatically renew. Your coverage will start on January 1, 2017. You won’t need to do anything!
What if I want to change my plan?
Will my premium change?
Your monthly premium amount may adjust for your 2017 Ambetter coverage. When you receive your Renewal letter, be sure to review this closely. We have other plans that can offer you different monthly premium amounts and other out-of-pocket cost savings. And remember, even if your premium is changing in 2017, you still need to keep up with your current premium payments through the end of 2016.

What is Special Enrollment?
When Open Enrollment is closed, you may still be able to enroll in a health insurance plan. To do so, you have to qualify for a Special Enrollment period. This happens when you experience a Qualifying Life Event. Give us a call at 1-877-687-1187 (TTY/TDD 1-877-941-9235) and we can walk through your options. And remember, Open Enrollment begins on November 1, 2016!
